Here, now, essential updates from the cookbook world. First up, the coolest Pope ever is getting his own cookbook! Or, well, the guardians of the Vatican are publishing a cookbook called The Vatican Cookbook: Presented by the Pontifical Swiss Guard. This is an English language release of a Swiss cookbook originally published in 2014. Still, Catholics and Pope fans will no doubt be excited to learn the recipes of “the elite protectors of the Popes and Defenders of the Faith for more than 500 years,” which include instructions and ingredients for all meals, from “everyday staples to holiday feasts” including “classics served at Vatican tables for centuries.” So if you don’t care for what this current Pope eats, you can go back in time and try something from another Pope’s table. The book hits stores on April 5.
