Let’s start at the beginning—the beginnings of you and pizza. What are your earliest memories of eating it?
I was a really picky eater as a kid, so for a year or two in elementary school, my parents would order pizza on a Sunday and I would bring a cold slice with a Capri Sun in my lunchbox every day that week. I remember it usually being Pizza Hut, because I think that was the only pizza I liked cold. In hindsight, this probably was not the healthiest choice, but I didn’t like sandwiches for fear of them becoming soggy. I was also a weird kid who didn’t like school lunches, either (even on pizza days!), but luckily I took a liking to eating salads for lunch after that.
